01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

La Real Michoacana Paleteria-Nevería in Fort Worth, TX, is a vibrant haven for lovers of authentic Mexican ice cream and refreshing treats. Located conveniently on Camp Bowie W Blvd, this charming ice cream shop delivers a delightful experience steeped in traditional flavors and genuine hospitality. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a clean, well-organized space that feels inviting and comfortable, setting the perfect scene for savoring their signature paletas and neverías.

The highlight here is undoubtedly the rich variety of paletas — ice pops bursting with real fruit and bold, vibrant flavors. Fans rave about offerings like the mango chili paleta, generously loaded with fresh mango and a tantalizing spicy kick, and the mamey flavor which offers a creamy texture balanced by natural sweetness. The Ferrero Rocher paleta, studded with nuts, provides a luxurious, crunchy contrast that elevates the experience beyond your everyday ice cream.

Beyond their paletas, La Real Michoacana shines with other authentic Mexican treats such as the elote — corn prepared with expert seasoning and perfect for an indulgent yet savory snack. Customers swear by it, praising its genuine taste and the friendly, patient service that enhances each visit. Their smoothies and aguas frescas, especially the pineapple colada, are bursting with freshness, making it easy to see why this shop has become a local favorite and well worth the trip to the southwest side of Fort Worth.

Customer reviews capture the soul of this gem: Allison Dublin appreciates the consistent quality and cleanliness, noting how each visit feels like a new, yet reliably excellent experience. Jasmine Tan highlights the admirable balance of natural flavor over sugar, a testament to the shop’s commitment to authenticity. While some customers note that the fresh fruit chunks sometimes challenge expectations, the delicious ice creams and corn seem to win back every visitor’s heart.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, La Real Michoacana Paleteria-Nevería offers a refreshing and memorable escape into Mexican ice cream culture with every bite. It’s more than just a sweet stop — it’s a celebration of authentic flavors, genuine care, and a community vibe that makes returning a no-brainer.

Great food and excellent customer service + a clean establishment goes hand in hand. I absolutely love that the area was kept clean and organized. This is twice this week that I’ve been to this establishment and my orders were prepared just the way I like them. This was the first time trying the smoothie mango chamoy. 10/10 Elote 8/10. The rice drink did it for me. 10/10 I never knew something so simple can create such an amazing drink. Thank you!

i’ve given multiple chances for the fruit here but it’s never good especially the watermelon, pineapple, and mango because it’s always hard to chew. like i don’t know who cuts them but they aren’t doing a good job but their ice creams are delicious and corn too!

Best ice cream ever! They have many interesting flavors. I tried the mango chili (generous with mango), lemon (great balance between tart and sweet) Ferrero Roche (lots of nuts) and Mamey! Everything I have tried is so good! There is more flavor than “sugar” compared to most brands. You have to give it a try!!!!!!!!!!
